Ingredia and Eurial Poitouraine Form IDI Venture
Ingredia will be the majority shareholder and also retain the operational management of IDI. IDI will be focusing on sales and marketing of functional dairy ingredients of its two shareholders as well as the whey derivatives from the mozzarella plant.
21/11/06 Ingredia & Eurial Poitouraine have announced the setting up of a new venture called International Dairy Ingredients (IDI). This company shall be set up in parallel to the partnership they formed in a mozzarella unit based in Herbignac, the later one being managed by Eurial Poitouraine .
Ingredia will be the majority shareholder and also retain the operational management of IDI. IDI will be focusing on sales and marketing of functional dairy ingredients of its two shareholders as well as the whey derivatives from the mozzarella plant.
IDI will further create value to its customers and shareholders by:
• Extending the product range and functional solutions of Ingredia in chocolate, cheese, fresh product and ice cream industries to Eurial Poitouraine’s one in processed and cheese imitations as well as in yogurts.
• Merging the Research and Development teams in order to boost the innovation capabilities.
• Extending the geographical coverage and by getting closer to its customers. The strong commercial position in Europe will be completed with Ingredia’s presence in Africa Middle East , Japan and Canada.; Eurial Poitouraine bringing strong footholds in China, Taiwan , Korea as well as USA and Mexico
Total turnover for IDI will amount to 235 millions Euros with more than 100,000 metric tons of functional dairy ingredients
It is has been agreed that BONILAIT PROTEINES, member of the Groupe 3A, and shareholder of the mozzarella project will also join IDI in the near future.
The set up IDI is forecasted for January 1st 2007.
