IFF Identified as a Leader in Climate Change Reporting
24 Sep 2014 --- International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (IFF), a leading global creator of flavors and fragrances for consumer products, today announced that it has been identified as a leader in Climate Change Reporting and will be included in the Climate Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI) compiled by the CDP (formerly known as the Carbon Disclosure Project).
CDP is a not-for-profit organization working to transform the way the world does business to prevent climate change and protect the world’s natural resources.

Nicolas Mirzayantz, Group President Fragrances and IFF’s Executive Sustainability Champion, said, “As sustainability is becoming increasingly more embedded in our business practices and personal behaviors, we are committed to achieving or exceeding our 2020 goals of reducing water, waste and GHG emissions by 25% and energy use by 20%, as well as increasing our use of clean renewable energy. Our eco-efficiency initiatives allow us to use less energy and water and reduce waste and carbon emissions, while improving our processes and enabling the production of high quality, innovative products that people love.”
IFF scored 97 out of 100 in carbon disclosure and was rated A- in performance. Companies with the top scores for disclosure qualify to be listed in the Climate Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI) for their sample group, which is based on market capitalization.
