IFF Appoints Barentz UK Limited as UK and Ireland Distributor

12/01/09 One of the worlds leading manufacturer of flavors and fragrances, International Flavors & Fragrances, has recently announced the appointment of Barentz UK Limited as its official distributor for the UK and Ireland.

Barentz is a leading full-service supplier of industrial raw materials, specializing in the sales, marketing and distribution to the food and non-food industries in Europe. The head office of the Barentz group is situated in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands. Established in 1953, the Barentz group nowadays consists of a network of 18 sales offices, three production facilities and two sourcing offices. Barentz is active in more than 25 countries throughout Europe, and employs over 380 skilled and motivated professionals.

The appointment of Barentz UK Limited further enhances the growing and successful European collaboration between both partners. Stuart Hadwon at Barentz UK told FoodIngredientsFirst.com that the agreement will be exclusive to IFF across the flavors board and encompasses IFF’s herbs and spice extracts as well as their portfolio across the beverages, dairy, sweet and savoury industries. “We are delighted to be working with one of the top three flavor houses. It is still early days but we will manage the distribution of accounts and look to handle new ones. The beverage industry in particular is something we are looking to develop to benefit off both our and IFF’s strengths there,” he explained.

Barentz UK Ltd will service the UK and Irish customer base from their facilities based in Trident Business Park in Manchester.
