Heineken Confirms FEMSA Cerveza Pro Forma 2009 Financial Information

The review confirmed the previously identified synergies, as well as the expectation that the acquisition will be value enhancing after six full years and EPS (beia) accretive after two years from the closing of the transaction on 30 April 2010.

Aug 20 2010 --- Heineken N.V. has announced that it has substantially completed its review of FEMSA Cerveza, acquired on 30 April 2010.

Pro forma unaudited provisional FEMSA Cerveza EBITDA (beia) and EBIT (beia) for the year 2009 are in line with the financial information published in the Heineken N.V. shareholders’ circular dated 23 March 2010 and amount to €442 million (MXN8,309 million) and €276 million (MXN5,189 million) respectively.

The review confirmed the previously identified synergies, as well as the expectation that the acquisition will be value enhancing after six full years and EPS (beia) accretive after two years from the closing of the transaction on 30 April 2010.

The integration of FEMSA Cerveza into the Heineken organisation is progressing well and will be completed on schedule. First time consolidation of FEMSA Cerveza takes place from 1 May 2010.
