Heart Chocolate with CM-X is Loved by Chocolate Connoisseurs and Diabetics Alike
Heart Chocolate with CM-X is in a class all by itself. Not only does it contain no sugar, minimal calories and great taste, but also it provides significant health benefits for diabetics and others.
24/10/07 Heart Chocolate with CM-X, recently launched by Innovative Life Sciences Corporation (ILS), is more than just another so-called diabetic food. Manufacturers of food for the diabetic market customarily minimize ingredients that either increase blood sugar and/or cholesterol. Many consumers are left feeling unsatisfied because although they may minimize the amount of sugar or cholesterol, most diabetic foods fail to minimize both and deliver great taste -- and are still high in calories.
Heart Chocolate with CM-X is in a class all by itself. Not only does it contain no sugar, minimal calories and great taste, but also it provides significant health benefits for diabetics and others.
"There is no real definition or standard for using the term diabetic when applied to foods. In formulating Heart Chocolate with CM-X, ILS made a great- tasting product with ingredients that actually reduce blood sugar and cholesterol," explains David Solomon, president of ILS. "That is what makes Heart Chocolate so unique."
CM-X
CM-X is a highly sophisticated and natural proprietary compound of cinnamon and bitter melon extracts developed by ILS for the treatment of diabetes and related cardiovascular diseases.
"This could be the first herbal combination with the potential to have more significant effects than pharmaceutical drugs on this triumvirate of conditions, which continues to have a major impact on the health of North Americans," says Maggie Laidlaw, director of the Clinical Trial Division of Nutrasource Diagnostics Inc. and former associate director of Human Nutraceuticals at the Univeristy of Guelph.
In her soon-to-be published abstract, Laidlaw states that bitter melon and cinnamon have similar physiological effects -- they lower glucose, cholesterol and triglycerides. The mechanisms of action, however, are different providing for synergism between them and provide the following potential combined benefits:
-- reduction in blood glucose levels and increased glucose tolerance in diabetics and people with metabolic syndrome;
-- reduction in total and LDL cholesterol and triglycerides, and increase in HDL cholesterol in people with dyslipidemia, including people with metabolic syndrome;
-- reduction in obesity, suppressing appetite;
-- improved antioxidant capacity, with the potential to protect diabetics against free radical damage, and to reduce oxidized LDL cholesterol levels.
