Haen Appointed as New Fiberstar CEO
08 May 2014 --- Fiberstar, Inc. announced that its Board of Directors has hired John Haen as President and Chief Executive Officer effective immediately. Haen most recently served as Senior Vice President Food Products at Richardson International, Canada's largest Agribusiness and a global leader in agriculture and food processing, where he was responsible for the Company's food division.
Haen is a proven leader with production skills, business vision and the ability to bring people together. His vision for how Fiberstar’s technologies will be used and experienced around the world comes at a critical time as Fiberstar enters its next chapter of expanded production, product innovation and growth.
Recently, Fiberstar has completed construction on a $10.64 plant expansion that will quadruple production and eliminate previous restrictions of the unique functional fiber products it manufactures.
Mr. Haen continued: “Fiberstar has created some great multi-functional ingredients and I am looking forward to introducing global food manufacturers to the value propositions these products have to offer.”
Fiberstar also announced that Dale Lindquist, previously President and Chief Executive Officer, will assume a new role as Director of Sustainable New Business Development, and will devote more time and needed resources to the innovation and commercialization of new bio-ingredients for the company. Dr. Brock Lundberg will continue as President of Fiberstar Bio-Ingredient Technologies which holds the intellectual licensing to the Fiberstar products.
