GPC Plans Major Maltodextrin Expansion
16 Oct 2014 --- Grain Processing Corporation (GPC) recently announced their plans for a major, multimillion dollar expansion of MALTRIN maltodextrins capacity at one of their current manufacturing sites. GPC is one of the leading global manufacturers of maltodextrins in the world.
The overall MALTRIN multi-year expansion project represents a significant capital investment for GPC. Both GPC corn wet milling manufacturing facilities, located in Washington, Indiana, and Muscatine, Iowa, will be considered for the expansion. Dozens of jobs will be required during the construction of the expansion, in addition to new production jobs when the project is operational.
“The site of our new investment will, in part, be based on the state and community that best supports the global demand for our products and services. Additionally, we want to expand in an environment that appreciates our entire value chain and is dedicated to the mutual success of our customers, our company and our community,” commented Gage A. Kent, CEO and Chairman of Kent Corporation.
Once a location has been selected, GPC will move to finalize the engineering design and request the necessary permits to begin the construction phase.
