GELITA AG Names Konert as New CEO

Dr. Konert is 52 years old, married and has three children. Until 31 December 2009 Dr. Konert is General Manager of the „MELITTA Haushaltsprodukte GmbH & Co”.

20 Nov 2009 --- Dr. Franz Josef Konert has been named as the new Chief Executive Officer of Gelita AG. He will assume his new role at GELITA AG effective January 4, 2010 starting with the new business year.

Dr. Konert is 52 years old, married and has three children. Until 31 December 2009 Dr. Konert is General Manager of the „MELITTA Haushaltsprodukte GmbH & Co”. After 8 years of successful service he will leave the MELITTA Group.   

Furthermore, Gelita announced that Dr. Axel Alber has decided to pursue his carreer outside GELITA AG. Dr. Alber asked the Supervisory to release him from his duties and tasks as Chief Market Officer effective 31 December 2009.

Besides his managerial responsibility as CEO, Dr. Konert will take over the tasks of the previous Chief Market Officer R&D.
