Frontier Natural Products Co-Op Launches Ingredient Division
The formation of a new Ingredients Division that will provide organic spice ingredient solutions including custom formulation, processing, and packaging to industrial customers.
31/10/08 Frontier Natural Products Co-op, a leading U.S. manufacturer and marketer of natural and organic products, announced the formation of a new Ingredients Division that will provide organic spice ingredient solutions including custom formulation, processing, and packaging to industrial customers. The company, which has a long tradition of sourcing high quality organic spices around the world in an environmental and socially responsibly manner, has hired Tim Warren, Sales Manager and Stacie Werning, Sales Specialist for the new Ingredients Division.
Bill Thomasson, Division Manager stated, "As the organic ingredient market has exploded in growth, we've been working with numerous industrial customers to fulfill their organic herb and spice product development efforts." The new Ingredients Division at Frontier Natural Products Co-op will provide greater focus on service and quality, added Thomasson.
A key factor driving Frontier to make a more formal entry into the organic industrial segment is the increased organic ingredient demand from industrial customers. This creates an opportunity for Frontier to leverage its sourcing expertise to develop a more robust organic spice supply chain. As a result, Frontier is able to provide higher levels of ingredient availability and consistent quality at competitive prices.

Another important driver is the expansion of Frontier's ethical and sustainable sourcing program - Well Earth. Well Earth incorporates guiding principles of worker safety/fair treatment, sustainable production practices, environmental impact, social/community impact, and product safety and quality. The Ingredient Division will support ongoing efforts to work with producers and growers as they implement sustainable agricultural practices and improve the communities and environments they work and live in.
