Four Polish Vegetable Fat Producers Merge

05/07/06 Later on this year ZT Kruszwica, a Polish vegetable fat producer, will merge with three other fat producers.
Aside from ZT Kruszwica, the merger will consist of Olvit, Olvit Pro, and Ewico. Polish daily reports that the newly formed company is expected to record an annual sales of PLN 1.5 billion (367.5 million euro).
Tommy Jensen, CEO of ZT Kruszwica, expects the merger to occupy the leading positions in every segment of the Polish market.
According to the daily, the companies’ plants will specialize, due to the fact that more and more rape will be used for fuel, the company representatives believe it is better to invest in tropical oil production.
Margarines and edible oils that are sold in Poland and other parts of the world are ZT Kruszwica’s products.
