FMC raise ingredient prices for animal nutrition products
This price increase is needed due to significantly increased costs of all production inputs for both S-Carb and sodium bicarbonate, the company says.
24/11/05 FMC Corporation has said that it will increase off-list prices for all Animal Nutrition buffer products, S-Carb® purified sodium sesquicarbonate, and feed grade sodium bicarbonate. Effective January 1, 2006, or as contract terms permit, pricing for bulk and packaged products will increase $30/ton ($1.50/cwt) FOB Westvaco, Wyo. With the implementation of this increase S-Carb and feed grade sodium bicarbonate prices will be changed to an FOB Westvaco, Wyo., basis for all customers. All other contract terms will remain unchanged.
“This price increase is needed due to significantly increased costs of all production inputs for both S-Carb and sodium bicarbonate,” stated Curt Siverling, Sales and Marketing Director – Specialty Alkali and Distributors, FMC Industrial Chemicals Group. “At current pricing, the returns are not sufficient to allow continued reinvestment in our facilities that will insure consistent production and product availability to our customers.”
