FLAVIA Launches its Newest Gourmet Coffee, Intense Dark Roast

02/01/07 FLAVIA, the pioneers of single-serve, brew-by-pack beverage systems, announces the introduction of its newest gourmet coffee, Intense Dark Roast, which features Exotic Southeast Asian beans that are super-dark roasted to create an intense punch that rivals coffee from your corner café. This new cup of joe is ideal for providing a much needed energy boost on the darkest day of the year.

FLAVIA set the standard for single-cup technology and now has broken the mold once again with this latest drink. Previously, the strength of FLAVIA coffees was measured on a scale of 1 to 5+. Intense Dark Roast scores a solid 7. Bold and smoky, with notes of rich chocolate, Intense Dark Roast is equally enjoyable alone as when combined with Creamy Topping to create a FLAVIA cappuccino or with FLAVIA Milky Way Swirl to make an indulgent FLAVIA Milky Way Swirl Latte. As with all FLAVIA filterpacks, Intense Dark Roast can be mixed and matched to create the perfect drink any time of day.

"FLAVIA offers the largest variety of café-quality drinks that consumers crave, with the convenience of making these at home or in the workplace for a fraction of the cost," said Rod Ofte, General Manager for FLAVIA. "The introduction of Intense Dark Roast enhances our robust selection of drinks and gives people the ability to have, in their homes and workplaces, coffee with the bold taste they could only get by waiting in line at a coffee shop."

The FLAVIA Fusion drinks station, which features a sleek design and state-of-the-art technology, gives people the ability to create over 30 single-serving drinks, including gourmet coffees, fresh leaf teas, wellbeing options and heavenly indulgent creations such as cappuccinos, mochaccinos, Milky Way lattes and chai lattes, all at the touch of a button. Unlike messy coffee and tea pots, FLAVIA is the only single-serve beverage system that brews direct and pure from a "filterpack" to cup, guaranteeing no crossover of flavor from the previous drink. In addition, FLAVIA drinks stations require no cleaning between drinks and give consumers total convenience in both their homes and workplaces.

Intense Dark Roast is offered at myflavia.com in quantities of 20 filterpacks for $9.69 or 100 for $45.95. The FLAVIA Fusion drinks station is available in ice blue, red or black and retails for $129.95, which includes a medley of 18 drinks.
