Robert Francisco, president of FirstCarbon Solutions, told FoodIngredientsFirst: “For many companies, the majority of greenhouse gas emissions are found within the supply chain. This achievement is testament to Firmenich’s partnership with its customers to make the commitment to environmental stewardship and demonstrate a superior approach to climate change mitigation.”
Paul Simpson, chief executive officer of CDP comments: “The science and the policy have never been clearer. Greenhouse gas emissions must decrease to net zero as early as possible in the second half of the century. Companies have a vital role to play in implementing the Paris agreement. Those that are unable to do so risk being the losers from this inevitable transition but those that have made the A List are set to be the winners.”
