Evian US to Switch to rPET

Evian has not only strived to counteract its effect on the environment, but to truly lessen its footprint on the world by improving our packaging.

22/04/08 Evian Natural Spring Water is to introduce recycled PET for its one-litre and 750ml bottles in the US.

At the time of writing, Evian's parent company, Danone, was unavailable to comment on its packaging plans in the UK.

However, to mark Earth Day, Evian North America president Elio Pacheco said: "Evian has not only strived to counteract its effect on the environment, but to truly lessen its footprint on the world by improving our packaging."

In the US, Evian has joined the RecycleBank program, which aims to motivate households to recycle by converting the weight of recyclable waste into reward points. Points can be redeemed online with more than 400 national and local RecycleBank Reward Partners.
