Dutch Spices: The First Company in Europe to Produce Marinades and Sauces Free of 24 Allergens
12 Jun 2014 --- Dutch Spices introduces the new production line of marinades and sauces. This makes the company from Nijkerk the first European company that’s able to offer dry spice mixtures, marinades and sauces free of the 24 allergens from the LeDa-List.
The product range extension is part of Dutch Spices philosophy; to make food for everybody, also people who suffer from food hypersensitivity. Producers of food and meals are now able to choose from a wide range of marinades and sauces. The oil based marinades and the satay sauce without peanuts are expected to become the most popular products.
Dutch Spices is the first and only company in Europe that offers spice mixtures, marinades and sauces free of 24 allergens. The allergens will not be used as an ingredient and they will not appear due to cross-contamination neither because of the unique facilities which Dutch Spices developed and build (combined with the strict management system for allergens; VITAL).
A huge advantage of using Dutch Spices’ products is the fact that no allergens will enter the production chain and therefore less (traces of) allergens will be found in the consumer products. This means more choice for a big (and growing) group of conscious consumers.
Another advantage involves the implementation of the new legislation on the 13th of December 2014. Starting that date all producers/sellers of food are obliged to know which allergens can be found in the (not pre-packed) product and they have to be able to show it to the consumer. While using Dutch Spices’ products, there will be no allergens to declare.
Regular spice mixtures, marinades and sauces are products in which we may easily find all kinds of allergens. Those kind of products doesn’t offer a solution for the growing group of conscious consumers who suffer from a food allergy. Dutch Spices is the first European company that started developing spice mixtures free of the 24 allergens (LeDa-list, the Dutch Food Database) in 2011.
Firstly Dutch Spices aimed for the food industry and the craft sector followed shortly after. During autumn 2013, Dutch Spices introduced ‘Simply Spices’, the first brand in spices (mixtures) with the focus on consumers, free of 24 allergens and free of food additives. And now the product range has been expended with marinades and (cooking) sauces, which makes Dutch Spices the first and only supplier in Europe.
