Drinks Americas to Add Distribution of Newman's Own Sparkling Flavored Waters, Entering Growing $10 Billion Water Category

16/05/06 WILTON, CT -- Drinks Americas Holdings, Ltd. today announced that it will be adding Newman's Own Sparkling Flavored Waters to its beverage distribution lineup in time for the hot summer beverage selling season. According to Beverage Marketing Corporation, the water category is $10 billion annually and flavored water is one of the fastest growing segments. The product will be sold in Newman's Own distinctive 16 oz. glass bottles and come in lemon, lime and raspberry flavors.
Drinks Americas' CEO, J. Newman's Lightly Sparkling Fruit Juice Drinks commenced selling through Drinks Americas last year in northeast markets in five flavors, lemonade, limeade, orange mango, raspberry kiwi and blackberry. In the first quarter of 2006, Drinks sales of Newman's Own Lightly Sparkling Fruit Juice Drinks have doubled over the prior year. The Sparkling Fruit Juice line will introduce a cherry flavor for sale in the coming summer season.
