2/4/2011 --- Dow Wolff Cellulosics (DWC), a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company, has launched its cellulose based flavor stabilization solution for beverages: Methocel for Flavor Emulsions. In the past, OSA Starch and Gum Arabic were the only flavor stabilizing options preventing oil separation in beverages and ensuring great taste over time. Today, beverage and flavor manufacturers are presented with a more costeffective alternative. According to the company, tests and analysis showed that Methocel for Flavor Emulsions provides equal or better performance compared to OSA Starch or Gum Arabic, using up to ten times less product, leading up to a three times lower cost in-use.
