Döhler to Highlight Middle East Targeted Beverage Concepts
Under the motto “We bring ideas to life” at Gulfood, the DöhlerGroup will present the range of services with which they also provide support to customers in the Middle East, from concept through to the realisation of market-ready products.
19 Feb 2010 --- As one of the leading international producers of natural food and beverage ingredients, the DöhlerGroup will present their latest developments from 21st to 24th February at Gulfood 2010 in Dubai. Amongst these developments are new products and product applications tailor-made for the demand of the food and beverage market in the Middle East. Döhler has been active in the region since the 1970s. As a result, the company has a deep understanding of the market needs and flavour preferences of these consumers.
Under the motto “We bring ideas to life” at Gulfood, the DöhlerGroup will present the range of services with which they also provide support to customers in the Middle East, from concept through to the realisation of market-ready products. In early 2009, the DöhlerGroup opened a new marketing, sales and application location in Dubai – as Centre of Excellence. As one of many measures, the company employs local product developers who can react appropriately to regional flavour preferences and the constantly changing demand of the market.
Vast know-how – from fruit through to the latest technology in compounding, emulsion, extraction and fermentation – is what makes the DöhlerGroup stand out as one of the leading international suppliers of fruit juice concentrates, fruit preparations, blends, compounds, ingredient systems, emulsions, flavours and colours. Natural food and beverage ingredients form an integral part of this. At Gulfood 2010, the DöhlerGroup will focus on their product portfolio with fruit juice concentrates, purees and puree concentrates from a wide range of fruit varieties. Exotic fruit like mango, as well as citrus fruit, rank highly in this range.
With its specialist flavour knowledge, the company is an expert in producing natural flavours and natural flavour extracts. Vertical integration and Centres of Excellence – not only in Dubai, but also in Brazil, Germany, Poland and India – allow direct access to the finest FTNF/FTNJ flavours and flavour building blocks from citrus fruits, apples, red fruits, mangoes, and pomegranates. Flavourists around the globe are developing all kinds of flavour.
In the natural beverage base portfolio, a key ingredient is cereals, which are used as a base for non-alcoholic malt beverages – a popular alternative to beer in the Middle East. The DöhlerGroup also adds to this trend with a wide variety of natural beer flavours.
Döhler Ingredient Systems are customer-specific developments for exceptionally easy and safe application. The blends, compounds and fruit preparations reflect the many years of expertise the DöhlerGroup has gathered in development, production and application for the food and beverage industry.
At Gulfood 2010, the DöhlerGroup will present a large portfolio of product applications. For one, these will include juicy energy drinks, containing between 25 and 50 percent fruit juice. New flavour variations, such as exotic formulations with mango, will appeal to an even larger target audience. New concepts in the juices and fruits segment and the latest generation of ACE drinks will also cause a sensation at the trade show.
In Dubai, the DöhlerGroup will present their range of innovative Aqua Plus beverages. Still drinks with fruit cells, the comprehensive range of carbonated soft drinks, nectars and many new malt beverages will also be available to sample and discuss.
Another focus of the trade fair will be on trendsetting dairy products. Healthy drinking yoghurts and milk mixes, for example with added fibre and antioxidants, will take centre stage.
