Dawn Foods Completes Acquisition of Unifine Food & Bake Ingredients

Unifine is one of the leading European specialists in developing, producing and supplying value-added pastry ingredients. This finalized transaction includes all seven Unifine manufacturing sites, ten sales offices in Europe and the brands of Sucrea, Fruibel, Caullet and Dethmers.

7/4/2011 --- Dawn Foods has completed the acquisition of the Unifine Food & Bake Ingredients business from Royal Cosun, effective 30 June, 2011. Over the next 12 months, Unifine will be fully integrated into Dawn as leaders from both organizations continue to work closely together to develop and implement an integration plan.

Unifine F&Bi’s product range embraces innovative and up-to-date concepts, which include pastry mixes and fillings, cream stabilisers and mousses, fruit fillings, glazes, chocolate, flavourings, fondants, ice cream ingredients, toppings and decorations. The factories are located in Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Portugal, France, the Netherlands and Romania. The added value pastry ingredients are sold to the artisan bakeries, the semi-industrial bakeries and the industrial customers.
