Court Forbids DDB Blockades at Friesland Foods Locations
With this decision the court has ruled in favour of Friesland Foods in the summary proceedings that the dairy cooperative initiated on 2 June 2008 against the DDB following the blockade of seven production facilities of Friesland Foods.
23/06/08 The summary court in Haarlem ruled on Friday 20 June that the Dutch Dairymen Board (DDB) is not permitted to block production facilities of Friesland Foods, subject to a penalty of EUR 100,000 per day.
The summary court indicated that members of Friesland Foods have sufficient recourse to democratic means to make their standpoints clear.
With this decision the court has ruled in favour of Friesland Foods in the summary proceedings that the dairy cooperative initiated on 2 June 2008 against the DDB following the blockade of seven production facilities of Friesland Foods in the weekend of 31 May.
