Coronado to Release Fleet Week Pale Ale
18 Jun 2015---CORONADO, CA — Coronado Brewing Company celebrates its military heritage by partnering with San Diego Fleet Week Foundation in an effort to raise funds and public awareness for the organization. Originating in San Diego, the Fleet Week Foundation provides critical support to military families.
Fleet Week Pale Ale will be available in all Coronado Brewing Company locations with a portion of each beer sold going directly to help our local military.
“This is a fun opportunity to raise funds and awareness of Fleet Week all throughout the year,” says Brian Sack, Executive Director of Fleet Week San Diego. “Coronado Brewing Company has once again become our wing man in helping us achieve our mission of recognizing the immense and valuable contributions of the military to our region.”
Launch Party: This Saturday, head to Coronado Brewing Company’s Knoxville St. tasting room for the release party. Trade Wind’s, a tropical/ classical rock band, will be on-hand to play from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a food truck on-site for purchase. The event is free to the public.

In 1996, when craft beer was still a foreign term and San Diego County was home to only a handful of breweries, the Chapman brothers Ron and Rick opened a brewpub in their hometown of Coronado. CBC brews abundantly hoppy West Coast-style ales staying true to their San Diego roots. In addition to their long established pub in Coronado, the company opened a tasting room inside their newly built San Diego production facility in early 2013. The non-profit, 501(c)(3) foundation was created by community and business leaders who understood the great depth of public support for our Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen. In addition to honoring the military services through the annual Fleet Week San Diego events, the foundation’s goals are to foster awareness of the contributions made by military personnel and their families; to enhance relationships between the civilian, business and military communities; to provide events that military personnel and their families can attend at little or no cost; and to promote other organizations that provide services to military personnel and their families. Fleet Week San Diego is funded solely through the generosity of individuals and corporate contributions.
