Compact and Easy to Use: The New Series for Forming, Filling and Sealing Portion Cups
Oystar Hassia has incorporated a new series for portion cups into its product portfolio – the THL 24/28 is remarkable for its extremely compact design and convenient operation.
Nov 8 2010 --- Oystar Hassia has expanded its range of machines. The THL 24/28 forms, fills and seals the most diverse cup forms and sizes with minimum space requirements and maximum ease of operation.
Oystar Hassia has incorporated a new series for portion cups into its product portfolio – the THL 24/28 is remarkable for its extremely compact design and convenient operation. Only six meters in length and approximately 2.3 meters in height the machine not only saves space, but can be integrated into any production hall. The thermoformed bottom web runs at an easy to use height of one meter, thus providing for good visual control of the working processes. The lid material feed is mounted at a low working height as well, so that rolls can be changed both quickly and easily.
The new THL 24/28 can be flexibly deployed for the widest variety of packaging forms and sizes of portion cups with a forming depth of up to 40 mm. On demand, the machine concept also allows forming, filling and sealing cups with a forming depth of up to 90 mm. Depending on the format and the nature of the product, 35 strokes per minute can be achieved under production conditions. A concrete example: the machine produces 42,000 honey portion cups per hour with a punching dimension of 40 x 46.2 mm and a forming depth of 19 mm. This customized machine is designed in twenty-up format for processing polypropylene material. All thermoplastic and sealable materials are suitable as packaging materials.
In view of the growing challenge on the international market for mechanical engineering to develop both efficient and sustainable machines, the engineers at Oystar Hassia have made certain that the energy consumption of their new machine series is environmentally-friendly. Thus when it came to design, both materials and components were selected with a view toward a favorable impact on energy efficiency. Moreover, state of the art drive and control engineering optimizes the working processes (working stations with servo-drives, PC-based, intuitive user guidance by means of updated HMI design).
Furthermore, the technical concept of the THL 24/28 creates the conditions for processing thinner packaging materials, precisely portioning the volume of products of varying consistencies and minimizing the punch waste. This too contributes to more efficient production and enhanced sustainability of the (portion) cup forming, filling and sealing machine THL 24/28.
