Coca-Cola to drop “diet” and “light” names
02 Mar 2005
Has decided to rebrand the low-calorie variants of Fanta, Sprite, Dr Pepper and Lilt.
02/03/05 Coca-Cola has confirmed that it was dropping the “diet” and “light” names from some of its well-known soft drinks.
The company has decided to rebrand the low-calorie variants of Fanta, Sprite, Dr Pepper and Lilt.
It will use the letter Z instead so that Sprite, for example, becomes Sprite Z.
The change does not affect Diet Coke.
The new products are due to go on sale in the UK from next month.
