Coca-Cola Relaunches Coca-ColaStore.com
Consumers in the United States can now purchase a range of branded merchandise -- from t-shirts and hats to glassware, toys and vintage Coca-Cola art -- while learning about our environmental initiatives.
31/07/06 The Company’s official e-commerce site, Coca-ColaStore.com, re-launched earlier this month with a new look, new inventory… and a renewed focus on the environment.
Consumers in the United States can now purchase a range of branded merchandise -- from t-shirts and hats to glassware, toys and vintage Coca-Cola art -- while learning about our environmental initiatives.
Coke worked with supplier partners to ensure all packaging, fulfillment and labeling supplies are made with recycled material. For example, instead of apparel coming in a poly bag, it’s wrapped in a specially-designed, waxed craft paper and sealed with a Coke sticker. Gift orders are shipped in 100-percent recycled craft boxes lined with recycled tissue paper and tied together with a banded strip of recycled paper.
Every piece of Coca-ColaStore.com merchandise is shipped with a postcard thanking the consumer for their order, explaining the rationale behind the recycled packaging, and directing them to the Environment section of our Company website.
At the time of purchase, consumers have the option to donate $1 to the Global Water Challenge, an organization co-founded by the Company to address unsafe drinking water and unsanitary conditions in developing countries. The Company will match every donation made through Coca-ColaStore.com.
The Global Water Challenge is an organization that mobilizes companies, foundations, corporations and individuals to address the urgent needs of more than one billion people who don't have access to safe drinking water. Our Company has the unique opportunity to make a difference on this issue, and raising awareness and funds for this cause through Coca-ColaStore.com helps us connect directly with our consumers and create a win-win scenario for everyone involved.
Coca-ColaStore.com is currently available only in the U.S., but additional markets plan to launch the site later this year.
