Chr. Hansen Reports Continued Success in Poland
Lorenzen: "Thanks to our competent Polish organization we have been able to expand and establish our company as a strong supplier and partner for customers in a number of Eastern European countries faster and wider than the competition.”
21 May 2012 --- The Polish food industry has developed tremendously throughout the past decades and is today an important market for Chr. Hansen. The Polish affiliate was established in 1992 as a spearhead in the company’s strategy for Eastern Europe and celebrates the first 20 years in a positive setting.
“Poland is an important market for Chr. Hansen where we enjoy high market shares across product areas such as cultures, enzymes and colors, and it has been a stepping stone for Chr. Hansen’s solid presence in Eastern Europe today. Thanks to our competent Polish organization we have been able to expand and establish our company as a strong supplier and partner for customers in a number of Eastern European countries faster and wider than the competition,” says Christoffer Lorenzen, Area Country Manager Central & Eastern Europe, Chr. Hansen.
“We owe our Polish team great thanks not just for their historical performance and impact but also for their efforts in terms of reinventing the business and continuously pushing and driving the development of new and improved solutions”.
Adam Matyjek, Country Manager for Chr. Hansen Poland, has been around since the first day and is proud to be part of a success:
“We started out in small premises in Warsaw where myself and three employees – two of those still around – were responsible for everything, from making invoices to manning the warehouse on top of visiting customers,” he remembers.
“Today we have grown to be a leading player in the Polish food industry. Right now we are aiming to further develop the market through up-selling and converting dairy customers to new concepts that offer higher yield. We are also launching new and improved concepts such as eXact Fit cultures for Tvorog and back-up cultures for our DCC cheese culture range. Many color customers are converting to our FruitMax range originating from coloring foodstuff such as fruit or vegetable juice, just as we are seeing a growing interest in our I-Colors range of natural instant powder colors for ‘instant beverages’. In short we are well positioned for future growth in the Polish market,” concludes Matyjek.
