16 Sep 2015 --- Chaplin & Cork’s has announced the addition of a new variant to its premium range of award-winning craft ciders.
Somerset Vintage (ABV 8.2 %) will be available from October and will sit alongside Somerset Gold (ABV 5.2%) and Somerset Reserve (ABV 6.8%).
Capitalising on the growing demand for premium craft ciders and the huge popularity of the leading range, with numerous accolades awarded for both existing variants including gold medals at the International Cider Challenge (2014), Somerset Vintage will introduce a rich and intense character to the Chaplin & Cork’s family.
Somerset Vintage is an exquisite medium dry cider with a rich, intense and velvety flavour. The subtle effervescence is perfectly balanced by its clean and refreshing fruity bite. Made from pure juice, using the finest English cider apples, this is a lovingly crafted cider from the heart of Somerset at the Shepton Mallet Cider Mill. The new variant will be available nationwide in Tesco from October.
Brand manager for Chaplin & Cork’s, Holly Chadwick, said, “Ultimately this exciting new variant is about quality and innovation, just like its creators Bob Chaplin and Bob Cork. As such we believe the new Somerset Vintage cider from the Chaplin & Cork’s range will appeal to the more discerning cider drinker who is willing to pay more for speciality brands. Consumer demand for speciality ciders is a growing trend and brands offering a premium proposition, such as the Chaplin & Cork’s range, are proving extremely popular.”
“Our cider fans have expressed an interest in a vintage Chaplin and Cork’s product and we cannot wait to hear what our drinkers think of the latest addition to the portfolio.”
