Cerestar completes 'brand migration' to Cargill
The former Cerestar companies will no longer use the name 'Cerestar', but will instead come under the 'Cargill' banner, although the C* product brand will continue in limited cases.
26/05/06 Cargill has announced that its Cerestar businesses will officially embrace Cargill branding from Spring 2006. The move will bring to an end a four-year period of 'brand migration' that followed Cargill's acquisition of European starch manufacturer Cerestar in April 2002.
The former Cerestar companies will no longer use the name 'Cerestar', but will instead come under the 'Cargill' banner, although the C* product brand will continue in limited cases. Cargill said that this change in branding recognises the overall ownership of our business and the growth of ourinvestment and service strength. It also marks a significant extension of scope of the corporation's offering to its customers.
