Campina Strengthens its Market Position in Germany for Sweet Desserts
It is a strengthening of the Campina Puddis concept. For years, German consumers have been buying the classic Campina Puddis desserts, with or without sauce.
18/10/06 With the launch of Campina Puddis Wackelpudding with vanilla sauce and Campina Optiwell 0.1 % fat Griesspudding Campina wishes to strengthen its market position in Germany for sweet desserts. With the Campina (Campina Optiwell, Campina Puddis, Campina Strudel) and Landliebe brands Campina is among the largest players in the German market for sweet desserts.
The new dessert Campina Puddis Wackelpudding is being promoted under the motto ‘Puddis Wackelpudding is enjoyment for big and small’. It is available in raspberry and lady’s bedstraw flavours combined with vanilla sauce. The 145 gram refreshing pudding and the creamy 30 gram sauce are packed separately in the beaker so that consumers can combine the dessert themselves.

Semolina pudding with only 0.1 % fat
Another recent introduction by Campina in the sweet desserts segment is Campina Optiwell Griesspudding. What makes this product stand out is that, with only 0.1% fat, this semolina pudding has a mere 59 calories per 100 gram. Both varieties should give an impulse to the dessert segment and provide consumers with more variety and diversity.
It is the third dessert variety under Campina Optiwell, which also produces a milk drink, yoghurt drinks and yoghurts that contain 0.1 percent fat. Campina Optiwell has been on the market much longer. At the beginning of this year Campina Optiwell added a pudding with sauce to its range.
TrioStrudel
Earlier this year Campina introduced a new variety in the successful Strudel segment. Following on from the classic Campina Strudel with two swirled product flows, Campina TrioStrudel, a dessert that comprises two sorts of pudding with whipped cream, was launched on the market. Three varieties are available: vanilla and chocolate pudding, caramel and chocolate pudding and cappuccino and chocolate pudding.
