Caliber WinePak Changes to TricorBraun WinePak
“The new name more accurately communicates the strength of our company and the sense of our brand as it is today and as we intend it to be,” Keith J. Strope, TricorBraun president and chief executive officer said.
2 Dec 2010 --- Caliber WinePak, North America’s largest distributor of wine bottles, has changed its name to TricorBraun WinePak, reflecting its ownership by TricorBraun, North America’s largest distributor of glass and plastic packaging.
TricorBraun acquired Caliber WinePak in 1997 but did not change the company’s name.
“The new name more accurately communicates the strength of our company and the sense of our brand as it is today and as we intend it to be,” Keith J. Strope, TricorBraun president and chief executive officer said.
“This change will differentiate us from our competition as it showcases our ability to provide more choices along with leadership strength and exceptional ongoing service. As in the past 10 years, TricorBraun shall continue to provide TricorBraun WinePak with global sourcing, sophisticated design and engineering capabilities, logistics management and repacking proficiencies,” George Dempsey TricorBraun’s chief operating officer said.
“Although future plans are vibrant, we shall neither change our personnel nor their relationships with our customers,” Andrew Bottene, vice president TricorBraun WinePak said.
“As North America’s leading wine bottle distributor, our relationship with Verallia (formerly Saint Gobain Containers) and other leading manufacturers will keep us at the forefront of innovation, quality and leadership. In addition to bottles, TricorBraun WinePak has access to capsules, Stelvin closures, bag-in-box and other specialty packaging applications, Mr. Bottene said.
