Cadbury Schweppes Upgrades Tasmanian Chocolate Factory
To meet the increasing Australian demand for chocolate products, Cadbury Schweppes will be investing USD 18.5 million in the upgrade of its facility in Hobart, Tasmania, reports the Asian media.

The sum will be used in new wrapping equipment, which is expected to be operational in November this year. A moulding plant will also be commissioned in January 2007, creating an extra 50 jobs over five years.
Company managing director Mark Smith told reporters that the factory produces about 45 tons of chocolate each year and the expansion will boost that by up to 10%.
