Biorigin to Launch Inactive Torula Yeast
New solutions have been included in Biorigin portfolio through the acquisition of PTX Food Corp last November. The ingredients were divided in three new brands: Biozalt, Bioenhance, and Biogard.
19/05/09 Reinforcing its strategy of promoting health and quality of life for society, Biorigin will participate at the IFT Food Expo for the third time. At the Anaheim edition of IFT, the company will present in its stand (237) new solutions with natural ingredients for salt reduction, flavor enhancement, and preservation of food products.
Those new solutions were included in Biorigin portfolio through the acquisition of PTX Food Corp last November. The ingredients were divided in three new brands: Biozalt, Bioenhance, and Biogard.
Biorigin will also launch the inactive torula (Candida utilis) yeast in the product line Goldcell, which also includes inactive and autolysed Saccharomyces cereviciae yeast. During the fair, the company will also present yeast extract solutions of the lines Bionis, Biotaste, and Mannovin, offering the visitors to taste final products including some of ingredients of these and the new product lines.
Biorigin is a Brazilian company present in more than 30 countries. Founded in 2003, its structure is fully dedicated to the development of innovative solutions based on biotechnological processes. In 2008, the company announced it tripled the size of its research and development center and its production capacity. During that year, it also acquired Immunocorp - currently Biorigin Scandinavia – and PTX Food Corp.
