06 Mar 2015 --- French ingredients company Bionov has announced that it will present its latest innovations and announce its partnership with Robertet at the forthcoming Vitafoods Europe 2015 in May.
Bionov, the world’s largest producer of natural & bioactive SuperOxide Dismutase (SOD) from melon, has just filed a new patent on the original and unique composition of its melon SOD B. It is also engaged in a new strategic partnership with Robertet, the world leader of natural flavours and flagrance, for developing and boosting the use of SOD B solutions in food applications.
“This patent focuses on the optimal antioxidant capacity of SOD B, which is characterized for the first time of three different SOD isoforms, each having a specific metal enzymatic co-factor and a specific molecular weight” highlights Mr Benoit Lemaire, Business & Marketing Director of Bionov. This specific composition of SODs “confers to SOD B a synergistic and optimal antioxidant capacity” he adds. This new patent strengthens the efficiency of SOD B as the best source of SOD available on the market.
Today, SOD B is available with two coatings, adapted for the formulation of dietary supplements and instant drinks, under the brand names: SOD B Extramel (14,000 IU SOD/g) for well-being; SOD B Dimpless (12,000 IU SOD/g) for skin beauty; and SOD B Primo-antioxidant (5,000 IU SOD/g) for anti-aging.
