Bill Roest Joins Board of Synlait Milk

15 May 2013 --- Synlait Milk is pleased to announce the appointment of Bill Roest as a non-executive director. Mr Roest recently retired as Chief Financial Officer of one of New Zealand’s largest listed companies, Fletcher Building Ltd.

Synlait Milk chairman Graeme Milne says Mr Roest will bring a wealth of experience to the Synlait board.

“Bill’s governance skills and deep understanding of international business will add further depth to the board of Synlait Milk as the Company pursues its vision to be a trusted supplier of choice to some of the world’s best milk-based health and nutrition companies.”

Mr Roest had a long and varied career with the Fletcher group including the last 12 years as Chief Financial Officer of Fletcher Building Ltd, from which he retired in April 2013. His other board appointments include director of Fisher and Paykel Appliances where he chairs the Audit Committee and director of the not-for-profit New Zealand Housing Foundation which assists low income families into first home ownership.

Mr Roest is a member of the Institute of Directors, a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and a member of the Association of Chartered Accountants (NZ).
