10 Oct 2014 --- GEA Filtration offers an effective process to recover beer from tank bottoms by means of cross-flow membrane filtration
GEA Filtration has received four orders for Beer Recovery plants from an international brewing company in China. These new plants will be supplied and commissioned in 2015. These plants will utilize own GEA ceramic membranes. This follows successful supply and commissioning of three plants supplied to the same customer in 2012/13.
Membrane filtration plants by GEA Filtration stand out for the compact skid design. The modular plant design is available in a range of standardized sizes to cover breweries of any capacity.
In this application, well-proven, durable, mechanically robust ceramic membrane elements are used. The plants are easy to clean and sanitize, due to chemical and temperature stable membranes. An integrated automatic control system guarantees process reliability and low effort for supervision.
The recovered beer contains no more suspended solids or yeasts due to low operation temperatures and can be returned into the brewing process.
