Balchem Announces Investment in Agglomeration Technology
26 Nov 2014 --- Balchem Corporation has announced that its SensoryEffects business segment will make a multi-million dollar investment in agglomeration technology and production equipment to complement its market leading capabilities in drying and blending of emulsified powders for various markets.
Commenting on the project, Jim Holdrieth, Vice President and General Manager SensoryEffects Ingredient Solutions stated, "We are very pleased to announce this strategic growth initiative. This investment in agglomeration technology will enable SensoryEffects to better serve our existing and prospective customers, as we broaden our technology and create a low cost, “one stop shop” for high quality finished powder solutions. The agglomeration project is expected to be operational by the fourth quarter of 2015.”
Balchem Corporation consists of three business segments: ARC Specialty Products; SensoryEffects (formerly Food, Pharma & Nutrition); and Animal Nutrition & Health. Through ARC Specialty Products, Balchem provides specialty-packaged chemicals for use in healthcare and other industries.
