Bahçivan Launches Resealable Packaging

02/12/08 Bahçivan has introduced re-closable packaging for its 250g sliced Helloumi cheese offering.
The new packaging is being rolled out from this month at a number of retailers, including Migros, Tansas, CarrefourSA, Carrefour Express, Maxi, Real, Metro, Kipa, Bim and DiaSA.
Plans are also in place to move the company's other cheese types into re-closable packaging in 2009, the leading cheese maker added.
"Consumers use a number of selection criteria when they are shopping for cheese, including design, price and taste experience. However, packaging is becoming increasingly important as shoppers look for more value," Erdal Bahçivan, the company’s CEO and Board chairman, said.
"This convenient re-closable format hits the spot as people aim to reduce food waste and eliminate the need for re-packaging at home," he added.
