4 Jun 2010 --- Ploegmakers Food Ingredients will continue to operate under its present name as an independent business of the Ardo group under Jorg Ploegmakers' leadership. The company's founder and current Managing Director, Mr. Pieter Ploegmakers, has decided to take a step back from the business.

With the takeover of Ploegmakers Food Ingredients, the Ardo group is strengthening its position as a supplier of high-quality, fresh-frozen vegetables, fruit, pasta, rice, herbs and potatoes in the industrial market.

This takeover by the Ardo group does not have any direct consequences for the customers and suppliers of Ploegmakers Food Ingredients.

The Ardo group and Ploegmakers Food Ingredients will continue to do business with their current customers in their usual way through the known channels. In the long term, both companies expect the takeover to deliver advantages to customers.
