Ajinomoto Strikes Nursing Care Deal with Nestlè Japan
29 Feb 2016 --- Japanese food giant Ajinomoto has announced a tie up with Nestlè Japan which runs across its medical and nursing care foods business and commercial channels.
From April this year, the Japanese maker of aspartame will transfer its diets for protein-energy malnutrition business to Nestlè in Japan, which will handle all production and sales.
Additionally, Nestlè Japan will also conduct sales and promotion activities for Ajinomoto’s nutritional care foods while Ajinomoto will continue to carry out product development, production and research for the nutritional care foods.

Ajinomoto has made the deal as Nestlè Japan is strong in medical-channel sales and has a reputable medical and nursing care foods business.
On the other hand, Ajinomoto has strengths in product development, which leverages its amino acid research and food produce development technologies.
By coming together, the two companies believe it will help drive up sales.
