Ahold to Move its Corporate Center to Zaandam in 2013
Ahold's corporate center, comprising the Corporate Executive Board and approximately 150 employees working in support functions, will relocate to Ahold's building in Zaandam, which also houses the management teams and support organizations of Ahold Europe, Albert Heijn, Etos, Gall & Gall and albert.nl.
1 Oct 2012 --- Ahold has announced that it will move its Corporate Center from Amsterdam to Zaandam. The relocation is expected to take place in the second quarter of 2013.
Ahold's corporate center, comprising the Corporate Executive Board and approximately 150 employees working in support functions, will relocate to Ahold's building in Zaandam, which also houses the management teams and support organizations of Ahold Europe, Albert Heijn, Etos, Gall & Gall and albert.nl.
"This move will enable us to maximize synergies and save costs" said Dick Boer, CEO of Ahold. "In Zaandam, we will benefit from co-location with our colleagues in Ahold Europe, while continuing to be located near to Amsterdam with its business and financial community and Schiphol Airport.
