With world wide wellness awareness the order of the day, combined with the trend towards holistic eating, a stable, sugar-free fruit bar with zero additives and preservatives caters for this demand.

In an effort to produce a diabetic-friendly product and with the world-wide problem of obesity in mind, a process was developed to produce a stable fruit bar free of sugar and preservatives. This investment allows Afriplex to introduce a number of their novel plant extracts, each with their individual functionality, into the market using a natural product as vehicle. With the focus on “Five a Day” fruit to be included in children’s diets, a range of bars has been launched containing extracts of Baobab, Rooibos, Marula and many more.
