Citromax debuts ready-to-use lemonade bases from freshly processed lemons
20 Nov 2019 --- US lemon grower and flavor manufacturer Citromax has launched a new line of lemonade bases in three varieties: Lemon Lime Lemonade, Hibiscus Lemonade and White Peach Lemonade. In addition to being flavorful, Citromax lemonade bases deliver freshness benefits because the lemons are processed on the very same day they are picked, notes the New Jersey-headquartered company.
Citromax’s integrated planting, harvesting and processing capabilities ensure taste and high-quality. By eliminating many of the time-consuming and labor-intensive practices commonly associated with making lemonade bases, Citromax solutions can save time while gaining cost efficiencies. The bases are supplied ready-to-use, requiring only the addition of sweetener and water.
Citromax is the third-largest lemon processor – and the largest organic lemon producer – in the world, with more than 13,000 acres of sustainable lemon orchards in Tucuman, Argentina.
“With Citromax, you can count on the pure, authentic and fresh taste of real lemon in all your conventional and organic lemonade products. You’ll also have the comfort of knowing you are working with a company that is fully committed to sustainable farming practices,” explains John Cavallo, Senior Vice President, Technology & Commercial Development at Citromax.
The Citromax Flavor Division allows the company to offer a variety of flavored lemonade bases, as well as custom-created lemonade bases for new product concepts. Their technical specialists can provide the support clients need for the development of authentic lemon-based lemonade products, whether it is adding lemon pulp, lemon oil, vitamins, sweeteners or an unlimited number of flavors.
In April 2018, Citromax invested more than US$250,000 into its lemon packing house in Tucumán.
The company’s latest innovations were showcased at Flavorcon 2019 earlier this month.
