As 2016 draws to a close, FoodIngredientsFirst looks at 100 ingredient launches covered this year, with new regulations and clean label needs clearly influencing product development.
One of the most significant launches of the year was undoubtedly Cargill's marketing of non-GMO ingredients in the US. Exciting advances this year include AAK’s non-hydro, zero trans brand of high performance fillings and BENEO’s functional native rice starch from the Group’s rice business unit. Late-2016 launches include Sensient’s extensive range of natural based green color shades and Hydrosol’s vegan alternatives based on coconut.
