45 scientific staff and 22 food and dairy technicians work to discover and carefully document the effects of our functional and nutritional ingredients. At application level, some 40 dairy technicians, scientists and engineers, work in well-equipped pilot plants to help our customers prepare these discoveries for success on their production lines and in the marketplace.

04 Jun 2020 --- Yogurt sales are growing faster in China than anywhere else in the world, with ambient yogurt the fastest growing segment in the country’s liquid dairy market. In response to this, Arla Foods Ingredients recently launched a clean label ambient yogurt concept to meet Chinese demand which the company hails as a “first of its kind.” Allan Eriksen, Application Specialist from the company, gives FoodIngredientsFirst some further insights on the latest launch in line with current trends.
20 Jan 2020 --- Lacprodan ISO.Water is positioned as the first flavorless protein water, which has also been optimized for taste and mouthfeel. With the unique formulation, Joe Katterfield, Sales Development Manager for Sports Nutrition and Health Foods at Arla Foods Ingredients, says the mass market is ready to embrace protein water. At Fi Europe 2019 in Paris, France, event attendees could sample the protein water, with or without watermelon flavoring, to demonstrate its potential as a refreshing drink for the everyday consumer.
08 Mar 2017 --- Arla Food Ingredients presents a 100% whey based iced protein coffee concept with Lacprodan DI7017 with Capolac milk mineral. A high source of protein (>20%), it is a healthy beverage that will benefit not just the muscles but also the brain, thanks to its natural caffeine content. Low in sugar and lactose, the iced coffee also contains Capolac minerals from milk and is a source of calcium (>60mg/100ml). Peter Schouw Andersen of Arla Foods Ingredients says: “We are taking two very important trends of high protein and iced coffee. Combining those two together creates a unique concept that is ideal for this urban lifestyle consumer group,.”
10 Aug 2016 --- Products made with whey protein and minerals from milk have the power to turn back the clock on a person’s age – biologically speaking, that is – according to Arla Foods Ingredients. Launching a new concept called ‘Change Your Body Age’, Arla Foods Ingredients said that consumers aged 50+ can’t do anything about their chronological age, but they can slow down their ‘body age’ through good nutrition that looks after their muscles and bones. To highlight the possibilities for food and beverage companies to create products for consumers aged 50+, Arla Foods Ingredients has developed a new Change Your Body Age product concept – an instant coffee enriched with 100% whey protein and natural minerals from milk, including calcium, magnesium and potassium.

23 Jan 2017 --- Mondelez International is selling Vegemite and most of its other grocery brands in Australia and New Zealand to Australian dairy company Bega Cheese for $347m. Vegemite, a food spread made from leftover brewers’ yeast extract which is revered by its fans, is returning to the country where it was founded over ninety years ago. Other companies mentioned are Emmi, Givaudan, Arla, Novozymes and The Hain Celestial Group.
29 Aug 2016 --- The UK High Court has given the green light to a proposal from SAB Miller to ease investor concern over its $104m takeover by AB InBev by splitting its shareholders into two groups. Shareholders BevCo and Altria Group, which own around 40 percent of SABMiller's shares, will be hived off into a separate entity from other shareholders when the deal is voted on September 28.For the deal to be approved, both votes would need approval from 75 percent of shareholders. Other companies mentioned are Arla, USDA and Fonterra.
22 May 2016 --- Bayer has revealed that its made a $62bn cash bid for US agribusiness Monsanto, citing the deal as a "compelling opportunity”. Monsanto revealed last week that it had received an "unsolicited" approach from Bayer about the deal but said there was "no assurance" that a deal would get done. The German company said its offer price was a "substantial premium for Monsanto shareholders", which was 37 percent above the closing share price on May 9th. The combination of the two companies would create the world's largest seed and crop company. Other companies mentioned are Arla, Campbell Soup and Hormel Foods.
17 May 2016 --- Ajinomoto Windsor is voluntarily recalling a number of meat and poultry products because of a possible listeria contamination. The US frozen food company, a subsidiary of Japanese food giant Ajinomoto, is recalling an estimated 47 million pounds of Not-Ready-To-Eat meat and poultry products, the company said. Other companies mentioned are Mars, Arla and Tesco.
17 Apr 2016 --- The European Parliament has voted to scrap a requirement to write nutrient profiles which decide which foods can promote nutrition and health claims. Some food companies and consumer groups have been angered by the decision. Other companies mentioned this week are Mars Food, Nestlé, Arla and PureCircle.
