Arjuna has over 75 international patents to its credit and of which majority are commercialized globally. The highly advanced R&D unit at Arjuna is a complete research facility for phytochemistry, pharmacokinetics, formulation and development, pre-clinical and clinical studies. The state-of the-art laboratory at Arjuna has been approved for in-house research by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Government of India since 2002. 07 Dec 2016 --- Arjuna Natural Extracts launched TRILOW, its Indian gooseberry (Phyllanthus emblica, aka amla) ingredient, a complete extract of fresh ripe fruits of wild amla, collected seasonally from the tree. Arjuna’s unique and proprietary gentle extraction process preserves ingredient functionality and ensures potency. TRILOW has attained US patents for its composition, plus has pending patents worldwide. Indian gooseberry is a traditional Indian fruit that combines superfruit health benefits with traditional Indian Ayurvedic formulations. In recent clinical trials, including results from a new study that was released at HiE, it has demonstrated heart health benefits, including reducing LDL and triglycerides.
04 Oct 2016 --- Indian headquartered natural extracts company Arjuna is looking to expand its position internationally, amid a period of strong growth at the company. In April 2016, Arjuna reported a turnover of $40 million approx. for the 2016 calendar year, which was up by +22% on the previous year. The company is now expanding production at its Coimbatore facilities in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, with plans afoot for a doubling in capacity for the production of curcumin extract from the stalwart Indian vegetable turmeric and the upcoming launch of a 90% purity omega 3 oil, on the back of a series of recent technological breakthroughs.
08 Sep 2016 --- Arjuna revealed the launch of a new food technology division at the company’s Cochin R&D facilities in the south of India’s Kerala state. Joint managing director Benny Antony explains: “We traditionally operate in the nutraceuticals space, based on our past experience of 25 years. But at the same time we feel that the food segment also needs a lot of innovation. Based on our knowledge and people we chose to launch this new segment.”
