19 Aug 2022 --- Finnish food industry giant Fazer began researching cell-based chocolate, which will cultivate confectionery ingredients without the need for traditional farming inputs. ADM and New Culture, an alternative dairy company, partnered to develop cow-free casein. Meanwhile, Corbion received a patent for a method for increasing the efficacy of vinegar-based preservation solutions.
11 Feb 2022 --- This week, UK industry saw trade volumes suppressed by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the pressure of Brexit and border delays. ADM released its overview highlighting the latest trends in alternative protein, while Synergy Flavours leveraged “pairing charts” to inspire a new spritzers range keeping in line with low and no alcohol trends. Meanwhile, French policymakers edged closer to reducing levels of nitrates in cured meats.
