Zip-Pak, Hayssen Packaging Technologies team up
Introduce the first commercial quad seal pouch to feature slider zipper technology.
05/10/05 Zip-Pak has teamed up with Hayssen Packaging Technologies to introduce the first commercial quad seal pouch to feature slider zipper technology. The pouch was developed for Hartz, one of North America’s most recognized pet product provider, to launch two and five pound resealable Bonanza, Vita-Vittles, and Classic pet food packages. Produced with the new Ultima SV vertical form/fill/seal machine from Hayssen Packaging Technologies, the pouch features Zip-Pak Transverse Direction (TD) SLIDER technology.
Zip-Pak’s unique TD SLIDER is applied at the top, rather than the side or “front panel” of the flat-bottomed quad seal package in the transverse, or cross-web, direction, making it possible to incorporate slider zippers on stand-up packaging. The enhanced platform for graphics and marketing messages helps increase shelf impact.
The Ultima SV features high-quality, modular construction for maximum production flexibility. Operators can easily switch between quad seal, standard flat bottom and pillow bag styles.
With its more than 200 patented zipper profiles, Zip-Pak is a global leader for resealable packaging technology. Headquartered in Manteno, Illinois, Zip-Pak is an Illinois Tool Works (ITW) Company.
