Yoplait introduce Go-gurt Smoothie

30/06/05 General Mills have made its Yoplait Go-GURT Smoothie available nationally, following a successful introduction in nineteen states earlier this year. Kid yogurt beverages have been delivering steady double digit growth since 1999 while driving yogurt category growth.

New Yoplait Go-GURT Smoothie provides parents a fun way to give their kids the benefits of yogurt in a great-tasting snack. In 5-oz. bottles, Go-GURT Smoothie is an excellent source of calcium and a good source of vitamins A and D. It has less fat per ounce than comparable products on the market.

"The new Go-GURT Smoothie gives kids a healthy option for snack time, whether it's in their lunchboxes, an after-school treat or a portable snack for weekend activities," said Jennifer Jorgensen, marketing manager for Yoplait beverages. Go-GURT created the squeezable yogurt category.

Go-GURT Smoothies come in 5-oz. four-bottle packs in three kid-selected flavors -- Strawberry Splash, Wild Berry and Paradise Punch. The suggested retail price is $3.49. Go-GURT Smoothies are found in the refrigerated dairy case with kid's beverages in the yogurt section.
