25/09/08 Volute Wine announced this month the introduction of its new line of single serve Bordeaux AOC wines packaged in shatterproof, eco-friendly, aluminum bottles. This is a big breakthrough because for the first time, wine lovers can enjoy premium wine outdoors, or in venues that ban glass, thanks to Volute's new line of premium wines that come in truly portable single-serve containers.

"Volute Wine is made of premium Bordeaux AOC wine from France. It comes in single-serve, shatterproof and eco-friendly aluminum bottles, so you can go ahead and open your own bottle anytime you want to enjoy just a glass, at home, outdoors and anywhere traditional wine bottles and glasses are not convenient." said Volute Wine Founder Amine Bouayad.

With its sturdy aluminum container and upscale design, Volute Wine is ideal to bring in a cooler for the pool, to toss in a tote bag for the beach, or serve at a neighborhood barbecue. The bottles fit comfortably in backpacks, are lightweight, and can travel wherever glass bottles are not practical.

As opposed to glass, aluminum is ecologically more responsible since it is more commonly recycled, unbreakable, and generates less transportation-related pollution due to its lower weight. In fact, as discussed in the company's blog, the carbon footprint of transporting Volute Wine bottles is 30% less than transporting the same volume of wine in glass bottles. That is the gain typically realized by switching from a gasoline only car to a hybrid. Aluminum containers are also better for the wine, since they shield the wine from damaging ultraviolet light, protecting its delicate, fragrant aromas.
