Sirromet of Queensland, Australia will be making its debut in the U.S. with two different lines, Seven Scenes and Reef, both of which offer tantalizing varieties of white and red selections.
17/02/06 Velocity International, a Nashville-based wine and spirits importer, announced that it will be bringing a selection of Sirromet wines to the United States. Sirromet of Queensland, Australia will be making its debut in the U.S. with two different lines, Seven Scenes and Reef, both of which offer tantalizing varieties of white and red selections. Velocity will begin importing these Sirromet products into the U.S. in January 2006.
The winery's flagship, Seven Scenes, is responsible for a majority percentage of the vineyard's international wine awards. The varietals available in the U.S. from this collection will be a 2002 Chardonnay, a 2003 Shiraz and - its most awarded - a 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon. Seven Scenes wines are single-vineyard wines that produce very intense flavors appealing to the most demanding and exquisite of consumer palates. Each bottle is carefully nurtured and made with the highest quality fruits to produce a rare character and distinction.
Sirromet's newest range, Reef, exhibits a distinctive great taste and unique visual appeal. Made from premium fruit from multiple vineyards, Reef will feature a variety of quality wines in striking bottle presentations displaying Great Barrier Reef themed labels with dazzling and colorful graphics of fish and coral.
Australian-based Sirromet Wines began when Terry Morris, a Gold Coast businessman with entrepreneurial vision, was committed to creating a word-class winery in Queensland. Since its opening in 2000, Sirromet has already surpassed a total of 250 awards for its world-class range of wines, making it the most highly awarded winery in Queensland. It is also the region's largest winery, with over 192 hectares containing three individual vineyards - Mount Cotton, Seven Scenes and Saint Jude. Now offered in over 560 local outlets, Sirromet has already created a reputation for unprecedented quality and relentless success. Its distribution also has an international reach through outlets in Japan, Taiwan, United Kingdom, Iceland, the Netherlands, China, Romania and, soon, the United States.
Sirromet Winery is located at Mount Cotton between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
