10 Dec 2014 --- Beehive Distilling announced Jack Rabbit Gin—the first gin made in Utah since 1870—is now available in nine other states through retailer K&L Wine Merchants.
Residents of California, Colorado, Idaho, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Dakota, New Mexico, Nebraska and Wisconsin can order Jack Rabbit online at klwines. The 750-milliliter bottles listed at $29.99 are also available at California-based K&L’s brick and mortar stores in Redwood City, San Francisco and Hollywood. Additionally, DJK Imports is now Beehive Distilling’s exclusive California distributor.
“Jack Rabbit really captures the essence of Utah’s fragrant desert landscape of juniper trees and sage brush,” said Erik Ostling, partner, Beehive Distilling. “K&L’s vast online presence allows us to share that Western feel with people in other states who have never even set foot in Utah.”
Jack Rabbit Gin is distilled in small batches to ensure each bottle contains precise amounts of its seven unprocessed botanicals: juniper berries, lemon peel, sage leaves, coriander seeds, orris root, grains of paradise and rose petals.
“K&L is pleased to be the first out-of-state retailer to carry Jack Rabbit Gin,” comments David Driscoll, K&L Spirits Buyer. “We’re confident that our California customers, and those in the other eight states we ship to, will appreciate this gin for not only its unique flavor profile, but also for its equally unique Utah origin—one of the least-friendly states in America for spirits production.”
